About us and our methodology

Quads Tenerife is an editorial comparison site: we read the public listings of quad tours, order them using published criteria and send you to GetYourGuide to book. This page explains who does it and how.

Who publishes this site

It is published by Giovany Quintero, trading as Grupo QV Tenerife, in Granadilla de Abona (Tenerife). The same owner publishes other sites about activities in Tenerife (buggy, jet ski, kayak, paragliding and things to see on the island); each one works independently with its own data.

What we are not

  • We are not an operator: we do not run tours or own quads.
  • We are not an agency or a hire company: we do not sell, take payments or handle bookings, changes or refunds. All of that happens on GetYourGuide.
  • We do not present personal experiences: we do not describe tours as if we had done them. What we say comes from public listings and cited official sources.

How we select tours

We start from GetYourGuide’s “Quad tours” category for Tenerife, which mixes quads and buggies. We set the buggies aside, read every quad listing one by one and ended up with 23 usable tours; another 2 were not usable (one had no content and one had been withdrawn). Of those 23, we compare the 19 that meet two conditions:

  1. At least 10 reviews on GetYourGuide.
  2. An average rating of 4.0 or more.

Those left out, and why:

  • Tenerife: Quad biking to visit Teide National Park by day or at sunset (Davilaria S.L.): 3 reviews (minimum 10).
  • Teide Quad Tour - Tenerife (Servizi Italia in Tenerife): rating 3.9 (minimum 4.0).
  • Tenerife: Teide National Park Quad Tour with Volcano Views (Quad Squad Tenerife): 2 reviews and a rating of 2.6.
  • Quad tour Teide (Gm Multiservice): 10 reviews and a 5.0 rating, but the listing gives no starting point, terrain or driver requirements.

How we order them

By default, from most to fewest reviews on GetYourGuide: it is public, verifiable data. The price table is ordered by the price for two people and says so. Nobody pays to appear or to move up, and the affiliate commission does not change the order.

On the home page we show one tour per profile, and each label comes from a data point: “Most reviewed” (most reviews), “Priced per quad for two” (the cheapest per-quad option), “Departs from the north”, “Most reviewed from El Roque” (the busiest starting point), “All on tracks” (the only one advertised as 100% on tracks) and “Lowest per-person entry price” (the lowest per-person “from” price on the day we checked). We do not use “best” or “most popular”.

Where the data comes from

  • GetYourGuide listings: “from” price and its unit, rating, reviews, starting point, route, time of day, pickup, inclusions and requirements. We read them without affiliate parameters and record where each data point comes from.
  • Official sources for the rules: the Teide National Park plan (BOC), Spain’s General Driver Regulations (BOE) and the traffic authority (DGT).
  • If the listing does not say it, neither do we: if a listing does not make clear whether it uses roads or tracks, the card says “surface not confirmed”; if it gives no requirement, the table says “not stated”. We never infer the terrain from the title or URL.

The last check was on 29 October 2026 and that date appears next to every price. Prices and ratings change daily: the one that applies is GetYourGuide’s when you book.

Review log

Each review re-reads the listings on GetYourGuide. We do not try the tours in person.

  • 8–9 October 2026: first reading of 21 quad and 14 buggy listings; published with 18 tours compared.
  • 29 October 2026: every listing re-read. 10 “from” prices changed; five tours from El Roque now say they are road-only; one new tour added (19 in total); crossed-out prices no longer shown; the price table separates one person alone, two on one quad and two on two quads; the national park, licence and foreign-licence rules were re-checked against the BOC, BOE and DGT.
  • 30 October 2026: new Teide page with a diagram of starting points, what each listing says about its route and what each one includes, all taken from the 29 October reading. Teide’s altitude and the summit permit were checked against the Spanish ministry and the National Parks Network.

Facts and opinions

We keep what a source says separate from what we recommend. Data carries its source and date; when we give an opinion (for example, who a quad or a buggy suits better) we label it as an editorial recommendation.

Photos

We have not found photos of quads in Tenerife with a licence that allows us to use them. So the photos on this site are real landscapes along the routes (Wikimedia Commons, with author and licence at the foot of the page) and do not show any specific tour. Photos of each tour only appear inside GetYourGuide’s official widget, if you accept it.

How we are funded

Through the commission GetYourGuide pays when someone books through our links, at no extra cost to you. We explain it on the contact and affiliate disclosure page.

If you spot a mistake

Write to us and we will check it against the listing: contact.
